Lovers is always a fun weekend spot, and the seafood never disappoints. The oysters are a must-have to start every time. On our last visit, we tried the house pasta, and it was excellent. Highly recommend!

Honestly their hidden secret is their cheeseburger. It has to be my favorite cheeseburger in all of DFW with the most perfect Crispy fries.

Shrimp Scampi with Linguini, Deviled Eggs, Gumbo, Blackened Salmon with Brussel Sprouts Ugh. So good as always. The deviled Eggs are delightful. Gumbo was yummy and flavorful and very filling. The shrimp scampi was delicious with such an incredible sauce. We were craving pasta, and our server very kindly had the kitchen whip up some linguini, which was absolutely delicious (it comes off the kids menu and is already tossed with a mild cream sauce) the linguini + the shrimp scampi together was a dream. The salmon and Brussel sprouts are just incredible

When I moved to Texas many moons ago from a state not known for it's seafood joints, I was dismayed at the lack of fresh seafood joints in Dallas. Back then, if you had an urge for "seafood," it meant heading to an eatery such as "Catfish Heaven." If one wanted something even more exotic, Long John Silver's offered up some passable fish and chips. And if a person had a hankering for oysters, you could head over to the place that served Po Boys and grab a dozen gulf oysters and a pound of crawfish. Yep, things were pretty dismal in the Big D. Lovers Seafood and Market is a step in the right direction for folks who are seafood lovers. (Get it? Lovers of seafood? Ha ha.) Yes, Lover's Seafood, which is on Lover's Lane, seems to be liked by a lot of people. On our recent visit, the joint was getting crowded for an early mid-week reservation. Their menu offers up a decent variety of seafood-based selections and even some offerings that's sure to please those that might not be fish fans. And if you want a cheeseburger, you can have one. While the menu doesn't take a deep dive into the world of seafood, it's certainly a cut above of what you'll find in other establishments that offer some seafood on their listings. On my last visit, I took a swing at a dozen oysters, the redfish, and whipped potatoes. The oysters and redfish passed the freshness exam, with added points for flavor. One thing that seemed to be missing on the menu, at least for me, was a "seafood tower" of a variety of shellfish. I'm still gunning for a place in Dallas that can equal other seafood restaurants around the country that will give you a most excellent tower of platters which feature iced shellfish like a selection of oysters, shrimp, crabs, lobster, and other assorted exotic shellfish offerings. (Their online menu indicates they do offer an "Elvis' Tuna Tartare Tower," but that doesn't count in my book.) I'd categorize Lover's Seafood as a casual seafood dining joint. It's certainly not one of those stuffy places where you need to get dressed to the nines. (However, you can if you want.). Also, as their name implies, they offer a "market." However, I haven't noticed it during my four visits to the place, so I offer no opinion. And as the Terminator once said, "I'll be back."

Cute lunch spot! I had reservations with a friend for lunch and we were seated immediately. Friendly and attentive staff. The complimentary popcorn was very good! I had the poke bowl and my friend had the soy glazed chicken bowl. My poke bowl was light and fresh but definitely way too much edamame in it. I felt like it overpowered the entire bowl. The soy glazed chicken bowl had too much spice and sauce for my friend's liking. I would love to come back and give them another try. Will def try something else next time.
